Welcome to the Diverge Community!

Diverge is a community for people who work with children and cannot stop thinking about how to make the work better.

Who it is for: Speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, special educators, and classroom teachers. First year or twentieth year.

What matters is that you bring your actual self into the room and you are willing to say how it went. Inside, we share what we are making, how we made it, what it cost, and what happened when we tried it with real kids. Not polished case studies, but the real version that includes the parts that didn’t work.

Three spaces to explore:

Studio

Immersive technology. Green screens, OBS, virtual backgrounds, augmented reality, projection, video games, and everything that lets a student step into a world instead of looking at one.

Workshop

Things you physically build. Room transformations, props, cardboard, sensory setups, costumes, and the materials that turn a space into a place.

Lab

Experiments and hybrids. The ideas that do not sit neatly in either room, the ones you are still figuring out, and the ones you want a second opinion on before you try them Monday.

Join, learn, and share!

Diverge Community is free and it gets you into all three spaces. Create an account, tell me what you do, and you are in.
Everything I build, documented in full.
Setup, materials, what it cost, and what actually happened when I ran it with kids. This is the only place I post it.
Somewhere to ask before you spend a weekend or your own money on something.
Bring the idea you are not sure about and get an answer from people who have already tried a version of it.
Three spaces sharing innovative work.
Studio for immersive tech, Workshop for things you physically build, Lab for the experiments. You are in all three from day one.
Who is the Divergent SLP?
Hi, I’m Felicita (or Fela for short), a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist passionate about using cutting-edge technology to make therapy sessions fun, engaging, and effective.

In my years of experience as a clinician, I’ve worked with students of all ages, combining evidence-based practices with innovative tools to help them achieve their communication goals.

When I’m not working directly with students, I teach fellow professionals how to integrate creativity & technology into their practice.
